Pattern Imprinted Concrete for the Commercial Market

Pattern imprinted concrete has grown in popularity across the UK commercial sector due to its durability, versatility, and cost effectiveness. Increasingly specified by architects and commercial developers, it enhances large scale infrastructure and retail environments while delivering long term performance.

At Elite Crete, we work closely with architects, specifiers, and contractors to demonstrate how pattern imprinted concrete can elevate commercial projects. From motorway bridges and retail parks to petrol stations, public authority developments, and major infrastructure schemes.

Our systems provide the quality, integrity, and performance standards required for demanding commercial contracts, and our work can be seen on significant projects throughout the country.

Why Choose Pattern Imprinted Concrete?

Our tried and tested colour hardener is manufactured to high standards using advanced machinery and premium-grade materials.

The result is a comprehensive colour range offering durability and strength that few competitors can match.

A single 25kg bag will colour approximately 10m² in one application, making it both practical and economical for large-scale commercial use.

Key Benefits

  • Up to 2½ times the strength of untreated concrete

  • Hardens and densifies concrete surfaces and floors

  • Non-rusting and suitable for wet environments

  • Resistant to moisture penetration and easier to clean

  • Extends the lifespan of concrete surfaces

  • Available in a wide range of colours and finishes

Case Study: Queensferry Crossing

We are proud to have been associated with one of Scotland’s most prestigious and ambitious infrastructure projects - the Queensferry Crossing.

With an overall project value of £1.5 billion, this iconic structure is the longest three-tower cable-stayed bridge in the world. Elite Crete provided practical and technical support in the construction of hard shoulders and ramps serving the motorway approaches both north and south of the crossing.

The Challenge

The areas beneath bridge approaches are often overlooked, yet on a high-profile project of this scale every detail matters.

The client required a solution that was:

  • Durable
  • Low maintenance
  • Structurally robust
  • Visually complementary to the bridge buttress

Additionally, installation was required on inclines of up to 30 degrees, presenting further technical challenges.

Our Solution

Working alongside the main bridge contractor, we supplied our colour hardener and release powder curing agents to assist in the installation of over 3,000m² of coloured concrete. A natural stone imprinted finish was selected to complement the surrounding bridge structure.

We collaborated closely with local labour teams, providing guidance on the specialist techniques required for installing pattern imprinted concrete on steep gradients.

By transferring knowledge and technical expertise, we enabled the workforce to continue the work independently to the required specification.

The Result

What could have been a purely functional, overlooked area was transformed into a durable and visually impressive feature.

The finished surfaces are weed-free, easy to maintain, and designed to retain their appearance for years to come enhancing the overall presentation of this landmark project.

Professional Finishes for High-Performance Workspaces

When refurbishing, renovating or developing office and workplace environments, key priorities are always the same - weed-free, low maintenance, visually appealing and capable of handling heavy daily use.

Pattern imprinted concrete delivers on all fronts.

Ideal for:

  • Office entrances and forecourts
  • Courtyards and breakout areas
  • Service yards and loading zones
  • Access roads and parking areas
  • Pedestrian walkways

Designed for durability in high-traffic environments, our systems resist wear, reduce maintenance requirements and maintain their appearance over time.

With a wide range of colours and patterns available, external office spaces can be tailored to complement architectural style and corporate branding.

The outcome is a clean, hard-wearing and professional external environment that enhances first impressions while delivering long-term value.

High-Impact Floors for Modern Workspaces

Internal office environments are no longer purely functional spaces - they are brand statements. From reception areas to breakout zones, flooring plays a key role in creating a lasting first impression.

Inspired by the polished, light-reflective floors seen in high-end hotels and commercial spaces, decorative concrete finishes are increasingly being specified across the UK and Europe for contemporary office interiors.

Pattern imprinted and decorative concrete systems offer a seamless combination of strength, design flexibility and durability - delivering surfaces that are as practical as they are visually striking.

Ideal for:

  • Reception areas and entrance foyers
  • Open-plan office spaces
  • Showrooms and display areas
  • Retail-style commercial interiors
  • Hospitality and mixed-use developments

Our systems can be shaped and detailed to create stone, slate or bespoke geometric effects, with a wide choice of colours and finishes to complement modern architectural design.

The result is a hard-wearing, low-maintenance floor that withstands daily traffic while maintaining its aesthetic appeal.

In today’s commercial interiors, you are only limited by imagination - and we work closely with specifiers and contractors to help turn design concepts into practical, high-performance solutions.
